Blackbird offers lessons for brass (trumpet, trombone, and baritone) and woodwind instruments (clarinet, flute, and saxophone). Band instrument classes are usually offered in the public schools starting in the 5th or 6th grade. It can be difficult to learn in a classroom with a large group of students with all of the distractions. At Blackbird Music we offer one-on-one, private lessons and our students progress many times faster than students who only attend their school band classes.

Our teachers will show you how to read, give solid technique and theory, but they’ll also incorporate songs you want to learn into the process. Our band instrument teachers have great personalities and make learning fun.
