Blackbird Academy offers a variety of Music
and Art classes for home schooled students.
Complement your curriculum with Music
and Art classes that are aligned with Arizona
State Standards.
The Arts are an important part of your child's
curriculum. Studies show that children who
do art read better and do better in math and
science. When art is integrated with other
curriculum areas children become more
engaged in the learning process. Art also
teaches children how to engage in creative
problem solving and another study revealed
that children with music lessons had better
memories as well as higher literacy and
math levels. Most important, the Arts help to
enhance a child's self esteem.
Blackbird Academy has developed an
enhanced Art and Music program just for
home schoolers with several available
options for learning.

Aligned with Arizona State Standards, Classes will explore tools, techniques,
mediums and various styles of art throughout the world. The works of famous artists will be viewed, discussed and techniques will be replicated in this fun and exciting art exploration class.
